GENERAL QUESTIONS

Unfortunately, we’re not offering a free trial at the moment. Running AI and text-to-speech software is expensive and at this stage, we can’t afford to let people use it for free.

We do offer a 7-day refund policy though. So if you sign up and it turns out it’s not for you, just let us know and we’ll give you a refund.
Maybe. We’re adding new languages all the time. In principle, we can add all languages as long as our LLM and text-to-speech software support the language.

Languages we’re planning to release in Q1 2024:
- Japanese (live)
- European Portuguese (live)
- Hindi

After that we’ll most likely launch multiple Arabic dialects, more variations of Spanish possibly Hebrew. And much more later this year.
Across all our marketing we have strong and straight-to-the-point disclaimers mentioning that Teacher AI is for intermediate students only and not for beginners.

We also mention that it doesn’t come with structured lessons and that it’s for conversation practice only. If you signed up less than 7 days ago and would like to receive a refund, please complete the form below to let us know.
Yes! Just fill in the form below. We’ll check your account and let you know how much it would cost to upgrade. After your approval, we’ll upgrade you straight away!
Unfortunately, we don’t do discounts. Running AI models, high-quality text-to-speech software and servers is extremely expensive.

If the costs to run our service go down in the future, then we might be able to lower our prices too. But for now, we can't make any promises about discounts.
Sure, you can share your account with someone else, but remember:

- The word counters will be mixed up because you're both using it.
- The 'new words' feature will show words that are new to both you and the other person.
- You'll need to switch the teacher settings each time you use it, but it's pretty simple to do.

Sharing an account is doable, the learning experience might not be perfect since it's set up for one person at a time.
When you are logged in, click on the black box where you can type your message to the teacher. When you type in the first letter, a screen pops up where you can choose your package.
We don’t have an app at the moment but it’s in the making. TeacherAI is accessible on both computers and phones though.
Yes, when you sign up you’ll get instant access to all available languages.
Currently, we don't have a voucher or gift system in place. The best way to gift someone an account is to create a new account his/her address and make the payment. After the payment has been made you can remove your credit card details in 'subscription management' under 'settings'.
Unfortunately, we currently don't offer the option to split the payment for an annual plan.
We do offer an affiliate program, but it’s only for schools or those who have a significant online following. Contact us to learn more.

Teacher AI is built on top of ChatGPT.

It has been specifically designed for language learners and offers many features that ChatGPT doesn't have. It's far more user-friendly and provides a better learning experience for language learners.

A few examples:

  • You can click on words you don't know to see their translation and hear the audio.
  • It saves those words so you can review them later.
  • You can even export them in a CSV file.
  • It tracks your progress and counts the number of words you know in each language.
  • It remembers your preferred teacher settings for each language.
  • All teachers have voices that you can slow down.
  • All teachers have bilingual voices.
  • It always acts like a great teacher.

And we have many more features in the pipeline!

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

You probably have set the wrong base language.

1. Go to ‘teacher preferences’

2. Check the first question ‘’ Which language should your teacher use to teach you language X? Your current selection is XXX. It should be English (or a language you understand better)
If the teacher’s voice doesn’t seem to be working for you, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot:

1. Simply refresh the page. Also, make sure that Teacher AI is open in only one tab.

2. Make sure your teacher is not muted. Click on the volume button to mute/unmute.

3. Try a different language or teacher.

4. Check your device’s volume settings: Ensure that your device's volume is not muted or too low. Also, check if the audio on the website itself is muted or turned down.

5. In ‘Teacher Preferences’ you can change the speed of your teacher’s speech. Try a different speed.

6. Try a different browser: Sometimes the issue could be browser-specific.

8. Get the latest version of Android/iOS if you’re on mobile.

9. Clear browser cache and cookies: Over time, your browser's cache and cookies can become corrupted and can cause audio issues.

10. Check for browser extensions: Some browser extensions, especially those related to audio or ad-blocking, can interfere with the website's audio. Try disabling these extensions to see if it resolves the issue.

11. Check the Website on Another Device: Try accessing the website on a different device to see if the issue is with your computer or the website itself.
